A Maine community is in stunned mourning after a beloved track coach suddenly died Sunday from an apparent heart attack after running on a treadmill.
Will Fulford, the track and cross country coach at Biddeford (Maine), was running alongside his wife when he collapsed and lost consciousness, Ashley Potvin-Fulford told the Portland Press Herald.
Fulford, 29, was also a special education teacher at Biddeford.
“Will was a quiet, kind man and our kids loved working with him,” Jeremie Sirois, the school principal, told the paper. “It’s a huge blow to our kids and our athletic program.”
